Which film should I buy?

The shade is how dark it looks. The film is what it does. Each card shows the shades that film comes in.

Dyed
The budget option. Good privacy, limited heat rejection, and it can turn purple over the years.Stocked in 50%, 35%, 20%, 15%, 5%.
Carbon
A flat matte black that will not fade. Solid heat rejection, and it does not interfere with phone or GPS signal.Stocked in 50%, 35%, 20%, 15%, 5%.
CeramicOur pick
Strong heat rejection at any darkness. This is what most people should buy.Stocked in 70%, 50%, 35%, 20%, 15%, 5%.
Ceramic IR
The top tier. Cuts the most heat without going dark, so it works on a windshield or a legal front.Stocked in 80%, 70%, 50%, 35%, 20%, 15%, 5%.

Common questions

The ones people ask at the counter. Anything else, call (619) 777-2425.

How long does the installation take?

A full vehicle is usually a half day, and the front two windows closer to an hour. We confirm the actual window when you book, because it depends on the glass and how much old film has to come off first.

When can I roll my windows down?

Leave them up for three to five days. Film is applied with a slip solution and needs to dry between the film and the glass. Rolling down early is the most common way a good installation gets ruined.

Why does my tint look hazy or cloudy at first?

That is the drying solution, not a defect. Small water pockets and a slight haze are normal for the first week or two and clear on their own. Hot weather speeds it up.

Will it bubble or turn purple?

Purpling and bubbling are what happens to cheap dyed film as the dye breaks down in UV. Carbon and ceramic films do not use that dye and do not fade that way. If film we installed does it, that is what the warranty is for.

What is the difference between ceramic and carbon?

Both are stable and will not fade. Ceramic rejects noticeably more heat at the same darkness, which is what you are paying for. If you want a legal light front that still cuts heat, ceramic is the one that can do it.

What does the warranty actually cover?

Lifetime manufacturer warranty against bubbling, peeling, cracking and colour change, for as long as you own the vehicle. Lifetime workmanship warranty on installation. If an edge lifts or a seam opens, we redo the window at no charge.

Is this darkness legal?

Every state sets its own limit, and it differs by window: the windshield, the front sides and the rear are regulated separately. We build to the state limit by default. If you want something darker we will tell you what it is before we fit it.

Do you have to remove my old tint first?

Yes, if there is film on the glass already. Removal is charged separately, because it varies enormously: some film peels off in sheets, some has to be steamed off in pieces with the adhesive scraped after it.

What is covered

In writing, on the page where the money is. Two parties stand behind a fit, so there are two terms.

The film
Lifetime manufacturer warranty against bubbling, peeling, cracking and colour change, for as long as you own the vehicle.
The installation
Lifetime workmanship warranty on installation. If an edge lifts or a seam opens, we redo the window at no charge.
